Bridgewater Ready Mix announced it would publish instant on-demand Type III Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) for its commercial and residential concrete mix designs making it the only concrete producer in the province to do so. This is an important step in the company’s effort to reduce its environmental impact and to achieve the industry action plan of net zero emissions.

Today, the Liverpool ready-mix plant resumed operations after a decades-long closure, as the result of a new joint venture between Bridgewater Ready Mix and South Shore Ready Mix. Restoring the ready-mix operations in Liverpool has required a significant investment over the 18-month project. It will allow Bridgewater and South Shore Ready Mix to improve service levels and turn-around times for customers in Queen’s County.

Bridgewater Ready Mix announced that it has welcomed new ownership, positioning the company for continued success. Joel Westin, who has served as the President of Bridgewater Ready Mix since September 2021, has acquired the company from its previous shareholders.

Work on the new facility began in the fall of 2022, after Bridgewater Ready Mix relocated to allow Michelin to expand its operations in the Bridgewater Industrial Park.
